I can't describe the look on both Kaden and Austin's face upon entering my hospital room to meet their little brother for the first time. I could try and it would be a mixture of anticipation, excitement, anxiety, happiness...I'm pretty sure all those emotions were there. I wanted to make sure I wasn't holding the baby when they came in, so I had him in the hospital bassinet. Luckily I caught this special moment on camera and can show you the joy that was all over their little faces...From that day on, a bond was formed that will never break.
I'm not sure I can name one other thing that these boys are that excited over. The first thing they do when they get up is come find Weston. They want to kiss him, squeeze him, talk to him and one of them always asks how Weston slept. It's really very sweet. There is no doubt that bringing in a new baby brother has flipped their worlds upside down and by no means have things been perfect. Both of them are still trying to figure out ways to get attention and love our new little addition while doing it. The first week we were home was spent cuddling with Weston, Lots of wanting to hold him, kiss him, and talk to him.
I know things are going to be crazy and hard at times. They already have been a little....However, Mike and I are really trying our best to savor and take all this in, it goes by so fast and before we know it, he will be a grown boy breaking girls hearts with his brothers.
