Kaden makes zucchini bread!
Kaden loves to help me cook. Anything really...he just wants to be a part of it. So last Thursday we decided to make zucchini bread. Kaden literally won't even touch vegetables, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to get him to eat something green! He was pretty excited about being able to help me and literally asked all day when we were going to make it. Finally after dinner I had everything ready to go...Here is Kaden with his apron on, getting ready to bake!
So I measured out all the ingredients and he got to help me dump everything in the bowl. Then he got to stir the dry ingredients toghether. As you can see below, he took the job very seriously...
He was super excited to use our mixer to combine the dry and wet ingredients. We had to wait a full hour for our bread to bake, which was torture for a 3 year old. However, when the bread came out of the oven, he was really proud...Here is the finished product.
I really love that he loves to cook. It makes me happy! It does take lots of patience to let him help me, but it's so worth it for him to learn everything. I really hope this continues and he can start making us dinner when he is older. See where I am going with this? Pretty smart huh?! :)

A little update
Not sure if anyone even really reads this...BUT I have not been very good at blogging lately. It's been hard to find the time.I'll keep this short and sweet. I have lost 14lbs in 4 weeks. For the first time in a LONG time I feel proud of myself, other than being proud of my family of course...But this time I of proud of ME and that feels good. The boys are doing great. Kaden is hilarious these days and keeps us laughing all the time. Austin is also getting incredibly verbal. He is really starting to tell us what he wants. They are adorable and I am so blessed to have them. I couldn't imagine life without them...
We are so happy to have Joel and Shannon coming this weekend to visit! It's been so long since we've seen them. Mike is so happy to get to golf with his best friend... I am happy for him. He misses his close friends a lot and it makes me happy when he is happy. Plus I happen to think Joel and Shannon are pretty amazing too! Can't wait to see you two!
