It's been awhile since I have posted an update on here and so much has happened in the last few months. Since my last update, I have turned 29! Mike and I had a chance to get away together for an overnight trip to Santa Barbara. We stayed at the Inn of the Spanish Gardens. It was absolutely beautiful and a total retreat for us. It was 24 blissful hours away from the kids and we made every minute count!
+ Our hotel....
May was a really busy month. We had a pretty big scare at the end of the month when my Momma ("Grammie") had a stroke. It was a really little one and she is on her way to a full recovery, but needless to say it was very scary for everyone and it made us all appreciate life much more. Especially Grammies!
My Dad and Diane went away to Mexico for 2 weeks at the end of May and we stayed at their house. It was really nice to have all the space and Kaden loved being able to go out and play in his sandbox.
We took Kaden to his first rodeo at the end of May. When we first arrived, Kaden was a little apprehensive. He didn't know what a rodeo was...I wasn't sure how he would like it, I didn't know if he would be scared or if he would be concerned when the cowboys fell off the bulls. Turns out he was way more interested in climbing the bleachers and looking at all the people in the stands than even looking at the bulls. Overall, we all had fun until some drunk guy fell forward behind us and couldn't get up. It was then that I decided it was time to go home...
So far the month of June has been an exciting month full of changes! We applied to rent a 3 bedroom 2 bath house at the very beginning of the month and WE GOT IT!!! We are moving in on the first of July, so needless to say, we have been insanely busy packing and getting organized to make that move as smooth as possible! This house has a big front and back yard and it will literally change our lives!
Now, for the most important update...The kids!!!! Kaden is 2 years and 3 months and he is really learning how to express himself. He really has a sweet personality with a whole lot of attitude. He talks from the minute he wakes up to the minute he goes to bed. He is really enjoying cars, trucks (especially garbage trucks), tractors, dirt, tunnels, and making forts with his Daddy and brother. He and Austin continue to get along very well and are now playing together a lot! Austin is now crawling everywhere, pulling himself up to a stand and really turning into a big boy!!! We just had his 9 month check up and he is 30"long and 20lbs! He's still in the 95th percentile for his length and 40th for his weight. Both of them are very long and lean! Overall they are both doing extremely well and are obviously happy! We love them more and more everyday and we are thrilled to be able to give them a house to live in! So many changes ahead for them, we'll see how they do.
Hopefully next time I won't have so much time to catch up on. Things have been busy for us! Mike and I are just busy trying to be the best parents we can, and it consumes almost all our time. We look forward to a summer filled with sunshine, weddings, Tahoe, and lots of family time. Hope everyone is well and doing good!
Love to you all!!!
