Kaden: "Is Jackass a bad word? " Me- "Yes it is.." Kaden-"well I was gonna call you that..." Me-"Aren't you glad you didn't then?"

Kaden-"Oooh, I was just thinking of a bad word" Me-"What word were you thinking of?" Kaden-"I can't say it out loud, it's too bad." Me-"Well then just whisper it to me then." Kaden-"I was thinking Get your ass out of here" Me-"Oh really, that was what you were thinking about?" Kaden-"Yes, and I was going to say that to you!"

The dreaded 5 year well check...

I have been dreading Kaden's 5 year well check for a while now. I knew he would have to get some shots for kindergarten and I just didn't know how well that would go. About two weeks before I broke the news to him. He looked at me super worried and started to cry. Not how I wanted the conversation to unfold. Over the two weeks that we had to wait, we talked a lot about the appointment. He asked a lot of questions and wanted to know what it would feel like. He thought he was only going to need one, I thought two MAYBE three...Actually he had to get 4!!!!! By the time we made it in to appointment, he was in good spirits. I had my Mom take Weston and Austin out on a walk, that way I could give Kaden the attention he needed. He did so good. He didn't cry at all!!! I was so so proud of him. Here are his 5 year stats...

Weston-1 month

We can't believe that it has already been 5 weeks since Weston arrived. Time has flown by. Weston has been a true blessing to our family. He has just fit right in. He is pretty mellow for the most part but he does know how to tell us when he needs something. We are enjoying every second with him and really trying to live in the moment and not get wrapped up in the craziness of having a newborn baby. Here are his 1 month stats. Dr Macias could barely believe how much weight he had put on since his 1 week apt.

Austin and Weston Love

LOVE

Austin and Weston were both sleeping in the back seat. My heart melted to a big pile of mush when I looked back there and saw this. I quickly has to regain my composure and grab my phone to capture this moment.

Papa Lew

Not long after we got home from the hospital we received a phone call from Mike's sisters saying that their Dad had taken another turn for the worst and that we really needed to get up there to see him. Without hesitation we hopped in the car, packed like sardines we headed up to Napa to visit. We stayed for a week and Mike got to spend some quality time with his Dad. It was heart warming and heart wrenching all at the same time. I took some pictures that mean a lot to us.

We are so happy they got to visit with their Papa, since it has been awhile since they had seen him. We were happy that they jumped up in his lap like they did and they weren't weird around him like I thought they could be. It was so good for them to see him and for him to see them.
