Videos of the boys going on the rides

Mid State Fair 2009

We took the boys to the fair up in Paso last night. There were a ton of people and at first it was a little stressful. We worked our way through the crowd and got the boys some dippin' dots before heading over to the rides. Here they are enjoying their dippin dots
Then we headed over to the rides. We originally were just going to walk through. We didn't want to spend tons of money and we really didn't think the boys would like the rides. The whole time we were walking through, Kaden kept talking about how he wanted to go on everything. Both Mike and I felt bad not letting them go on at least one ride if they wanted to. So we bought some tickets. The first ride they went on was an airplane ride. Mike decided to go on it with them because there was one part where the ride went kinda fast. We didn't know if they would get scared. Turns out they both loved it so much they didn't want to get off. Austin actually cried when Mike took him off the ride. It's hard for them to understand that there is an end to the fun. Here are some pictures of them on that.
Since the first ride was such a hit, we decided to move on to the next one. Then they went on the truck ride. This time they went by themselves. It was so cute to see them sitting next to each other having so much fun.

They went on the slide next...After that, all the tickets were gone. They were just getting started and wanted to keep going. We had to explain to them that all the tickets were gone and that we couldn't go on anymore rides. Kaden kinda started to cry for a minute. However, earlier in the night someone had given us a plastic samurai sword that they had won, they couldn't bring it in to the concert so he gave it to us. Everything was all better when Kaden got to hold that samurai sword. Overall, we had a great time! We are both really happy that we took them. With both of our boys, at some point there has been one defining moment where we realize that they are a big boy now, no longer a baby. For Austin, it was last night. He was so happy to be at the fair and I never imagined he would be so excited about it all. He is becoming way less shy now and he even gave smokey the bear a high five while Kaden was literally hiding under the stroller. So far this morning we have watched the videos of the boys going on the rides a dozen times and as we speak Austin is trying to climb up in my lap to watch them again. Next year we may just have to get them the wrist bands so they can just ride all the rides they want! Maybe not since Kaden did throw up on the way home.... :(

A Momma's boy and classic cars

Momma's boy

We took the boys down to Grand Ave on Friday, it was the cruise for the Arroyo Grande car show. The classic cars just cruise Grand Ave. Kaden really hated it, he spent the whole time in tears covering his ears. Austin thought it was ok, but he wasn't crazy about it either. Maybe next year they will like it better.

Cutest cowboy around these parts

Kaden had a scary dream last night. The video above only partially captures how Kaden felt about this dream. He talked about it for the first hour that he was up. He said that he found a storm book on his blanket and when he opened it up, he zoomed in...There was lightning and thunder way up in the hills. He was all alone and Daddy was not there to save him. He was telling me all this while I was making his breakfast and at one point even started to cry a little bit. It honestly almost made me cry too. He is just so sweet and innocent and it just made me sad to hear how scared he was. Plus the fact that he felt all alone.... He basically ripped my heart out and threw it on the floor.

Tree fort

Mike decided that he wanted to build the boys a fort in the backyard. Last night he was trying to describe his plan. I couldn't quite get a picture of what this fort might look like. Well, sure enough, this morning he was bound and determined to get this fort made. When he told Kaden that he was going to build him a fort, Kaden said "THANK YOU!" He was so excited, that is just what came out of his mouth. So Mike hauled the boys to the hardware store to get his supplies. I was busy in the house cleaning and doing stuff around the house and I look out in the backyard and I was amazed at what I saw out there. He really did have a great idea and he knew how to execute that idea. I was impressed. Kaden patiently "helped" Mike out there all day. I don't know how many times i heard "are you done yet Daddy?! " Kaden couldn't wait to get up there and check out his new little spot. Here are the pictures...What a man my husband is!

Summer time,,,

It's 5:50am and I didn't sleep a wink last night, so I am up and thought I would update our blog. Things have been pretty good lately. We are anxiously awaiting baby Androlowicz to arrive. Aunt Melissa is so ready to have him and we can't wait to see him! It has been beautiful weather around here lately. We have been enjoying it our backyard with our new pool. It's just a plastic blow up pool, but they love it. I have been enjoying the time outside with the boys and laying out in the sunshine.Kaden starts preschool September 1st!!! It seems so weird to me that he will be going to school! Just two days a week, but it will be so good for him. He really needs the social interaction and I think he is going to love it. He has been so funny lately. His imagination is so intense and I really love hearing the things he comes up with. With Michael Jackson's recent passing, he has obviously heard lots of talk about him. Up to this point, I'm pretty sure he had no idea who Michael Jackson was. I didn't even really think he was paying any attention to it all. The other day at the playground, Kaden quickly found a freind to play with. His name was "Jackson". Jackson and Kaden played together for awhile, they were running around together and having a great time. Jackson took off to play somewhere else and I heard Kaden talking over in the sand box. When I got closer, I realized he was saying, "Where's Michael Jackson?" I asked him to repeat what he was saying because I couldn't believe my ears, and sure enough he though the little boys name was "Michael Jackson". So hilarious. He is doing GREAT potty training! I am so proud of him. Not many accidents and he is well on his way to being a full time choney wearing boy!Austin is so funny. He is talking so much these days and his little expressions on his face kill me. He is so cute! When I ask him where something is and he doesn't know, he throws his hands up and tilts his head and saying "know"... like "I don't know" . It's the best. I took them to the pool at my Mom's house yesterday and he loved it. He was laughing so hard and splashing, he had the greatest time. He would jump into the pool to me and just laugh. He loves to swim and be in the water. Austin is a total dare devil. He jumps off everything. The other day when we had the pool set up in the back yard, he was climbing up on the sides and balancing and then belly flopping into the pool. Mike was out there with him and he was just laughing at him. He didn't care if water got in his eyes or if he swallowed a cup of water each time, he was having a great time. When he wakes up from a nap or in the morning, he yells so loud for me, "MOMMA"...His voice is so cute and I can't help but laugh when I hear it.
I am just enjoying them so much. They mean the world to me and I am cherishing every day with them. I always knew that being a parent would show me how much I could love another person, but I never imagined it would be THIS much! We just love them to pieces....
